Coffee Beans Cafe
One of the latter establishments to close but how often do people look up and notice the distinctive rounded corner. This feature appears on a few buildings around the town.
But why are they rounded?
After the town went through a successful booming financial period following on from the development of the various mills. This wealth was displayed within the town's architecture.

Introduction..
I have lived in Congleton all my life and these last couple of years as the recession has taken hold I have noticed the town centre becoming more and more like a ghost town. I am using this blog to chronicle the amount of businesses that have closed both here and in other towns and how the British highstreet is changing.
I will also be celebrating what makes the town unique. If anyone has any photographs they would like to include please email cloudtopfilms@gmail.com
